Major League Bargain All-Stars

I drafted Hanley Ramírez in our Laker Fantasy Baseball League as the 2nd overall pick this year. So far he hasn’t disappointed. He is a stat machine! Since he is only in his 2nd season I thought I’d look him up to see what he is making and stumbled upon this article highlighting the bargains some GMs are getting for their buck.

  1. He did just sign a 6 year 70 million dollar contract.

  2. Straight cash Homey!

  3. Killer:

May 19 SS Hanley Ramirez went 1-for-12 with seven strikeouts in the weekend series against Kansas City, a stretch that included five straight strikeouts. On Saturday, Ramirez signed a six-year, $70 million contract. He’s batting .185 (5-for-27) in the 10 days since news broke about his contract. He ended a streak of 11 consecutive hitless at-bats with a single to start the sixth inning on Sunday.
