Grove won an even 300 games in his 17-year career, leading the American League in ERA nine times and in wins four times. In 1931, he was voted MVP after going 31-4.

After looking at this Salary vs. Performance diagram you really have to wonder who the heck are the Mets and Cubs paying all that money to?!?
As of yesterday the Yanks have paid $136,149,920 for the 4 extra wins than the Twins. I’m not saying, I’m just saying!
